Monin Usage Tips for Your Coffeehouse

Recipe Recommendations

• Use each Monin Syrup according to its recommended applications. Recommended applications are included in the Syrup’s product page.
• Along with the Monin Syrup, always use milk, soy milk, cream or half & half in espresso-based beverages.
• To convert a favorite iced coffee recipe into a frozen coffee recipe, it is necessary to increase the quantities of both the ice and the Monin Syrup. Search Monin frozen drink recipes with the Advanced Monin Recipe Search.

Tricks of the Trade

• Further enhance the appearance and aroma of your Monin beverages with garnishes that are similar to the flavor(s) used in the beverage.
• Chocolate shavings, cinnamon, nutmeg and other spices are popular choices for classic coffeehouse flavors
• To enhance the aroma of a whipped cream-topped beverage, fill a small spray bottle with Monin Syrup, and then lightly spray the mist over the whipped cream.
• Shake for 15 seconds or stir well so that the Monin Syrup does not sink to the bottom of a chilled drink.
• If making a frozen beverage, blend for 25 seconds to obtain delicious smoothness.

Monin Syrups & Dairy Products

Monin Coffeehouse products (Hazelnut, Caramel and Vanilla Syrups, for instance) were created specifically to use with dairy products in specialty coffee beverages. Conversely, highly tart Monin products (e.g. Lemon, Lime, Pomegranate, Orange Syrups..) were created for other applications and are usually not recommended with dairy products.
